A POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND CORRECT TIMING ARE Everything for success. For a variety of reasons we do not aim high enough to get where we want to be. In 2012 negative thinking held us back. It’s time to put all that behind us. Motivation, determination and knowledge can help create success in our lives.
I study people with integrity, and charismatic leadership: as good leaders they care, not for themselves, but for the unit, the people, and the mission. I have come to appreciate the complex and innumerable challenges faced by successful high-level leaders. As legendary football coach Vince Lombardi once remarked,“Leaders are made; they are not born. They are made by hard effort, which is the price all of us may pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile.”
Take care of your people and your people will take care of you.Speaking of taking care of our people, take a little time to thank the administration, and the legislature for addressing State Trooper compensation. Those in longevity will not see an increase, but catching the base pay up is a start. The legislature is also providing funds for overtime, which is very helpful to all State Troopers. Get involved in educating your legislator.
They cannot remedy the situation without direct knowledge.
