The 2012 UHPA Retirement, Recognition, and Awards Banquet was held on June 13th in Park City, Utah. The capacity-plus crowd enjoyed a pleasant evening of entertainment, reflection, and recognition.
The Utah Highway Patrol Association held its annual retirement banquet and business meeting on June 13, 2012. Some question why the association spends the money and time to have the banquet. Tradition mandates the association hold such an event in honor of state troopers whom retired within the last year, to give recognition, showing appreciation to our follow state troopers for their dedicated service. This year’s event was in Park City, at the Yarrow Hotel, and was great success. UHPA 2nd Vice President, Phil Rawlinson worked very hard to make the evening a most memorable occasion. The many that attended were very pleased with the banquet. This is always a great time to visit our friends around the state.
This year we honored Betty Carder, U DOT, P.O.E. Betty kept her membership in place even after the ports were transferred to UDOT.
